in the same way the Khadims of Khwaja Garib Nawaz have been serving for 850 years. And the Khadims of Ajmer Sharif also have the right of custody of the Astana Sharif, just as the custody of the Kaaba has been handed over to a particular family from time immemorial and even after the conquest of Mecca.
Huzur Nabi Kareem (S.A.W.) took the key of Kaaba in his hand and again gave it to Hazrat Usman bin Talah, the head of the Usi clan, saying that this key (Kaleed) will remain in your family till doomsday and whoever snatches this key from you will be cruel.
The King of Saudi Arabia takes pride in calling himself Khadim Al Harmain Sharifain, and (alhamdulillah) the Khadem of Dargah Gharib Nawaz (R.A.) is the Kalid Bardar. The keys of the Astana have been with the Khadems of Ajmer Sharif since time immemorial.

Khadem of Khawaja Gareeb Nawaz (R.A.) is called Sahebzada, Gaddi Nasheen, Syed Sahab, Shah Sahab, Maulim, Mujavir, Bapu, Pir Sahib, and the people of Kashmir are called Rishis by all these names, but Khadeems of Ajmer Sharif take pride in calling themselves Khadem, Khak Nasheen, and Jaroob Kash.
हरके खिदमत करदा व मखदूम शुद

The reality is that apart from the rituals that take place every morning and evening for 12 months in Astane-Aqdas, all the rights inside Astane Sharif belong only to Khadems of Kahwaja Gareeb Nawaz, and he has been performing them from time immemorial in his ancestral capacity.
Khadim of Khwaaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A.) has access only, and through him the pilgrims also offer flower Chadar, attar, and nazro niyaz at the Mazar-e-Aqdas; the tarikh and maruf of Akbari and Jahangiri are also offered in the Degs.
According to the law, Khuddam e Khwaaja is the only Mustahk, and Jumla Mazhabi Takribat Mehfil and Digar programmes held in Ruba Rue Astana Aaliya Ahta-e-Noor are done with great tuzk and ehtsham from the side of Khuddam Hazrat and our community Anjuman Syed Zadgan throughout the year. Big langars are offered, and Niyaz is divided into Zareen, Gurba, Fukra, Masakeen, and everyone.
Therefore, every son serves his father, every student his master, every follower his peer, and every faithful servant serves that elder, from whom he has faith and sincerity.
That's why every son is the servant of his father, every disciple of his teacher, every disciple of his peer, and every disciple of his disciple (Jawab Nama Safa 139).

खुद हदरत ख्वाजा बुज़ुर्ग ग़रीब नवाज़ (र.अ) का ये इरशाद हे ( सेरुल अवलिया ) मैं मर्कुम हे
بست سال ملازم خدمت ایشان بودم چنان که یک
ساعت نفس را از خدمت آن بزرگ راحت نه دادم و در
سفر و حضر جامه خواب خواجه من می بردم
ینی میں بیس سال پیرو مرشد کا اس طرح ملازم خدمت رہا کہ حضرت کی خدمت سے گھڑی بھر کے لئے آرام نہیں لیا اور سفروحضر میں حضرت کا بستر میں اٹھاتا تھا۔
That is, I served Piro Murshid for 20 years in such a way that I did not take a moment to rest from the service of Hadrat and used to carry Hadrat's bed during travel and everywhere.

فخرے ما فخرالدین است
गुलज़ारे अबरार मैं हदरत ख्वाजा स्येद फखरुद्दीन ग्र्देज़ी चिश्ती ( खुद्दामे ख्वाजा के मोरुसे आला ) की निस्बत ये अलफ़ाज़ भी लिखे है
दर खिदमत गारी व परिस्तारी पीर पाया बंदगी दाश्त
यानी अपने पीर की खिदमत गुज़ारी और परिस्तारी मैं बंदगी का बुलंद दर्जा रखते थे
در خدمت گاری و پرستاری پیر پایا بندگی داشت
Hadrat Khwaaja Syedna Fakhruddin Gardezi Chishti (ra) spent his whole life in the service of Hadrat Syedna Khawaja Gareeb Nawaz (r.a.). He used to sleep near the tomb and served till his last breath (Gulzare Abrar Farsi, Safa 38), and after you, your children have made this service an honour, which continues till now.

HAZRAT KHWAJA FAKHRUDDIN GARDEZI (RA)
Hazrat Kwaja Syed Fakhruddin Gurdezi was a Hussaini Syed. At the age of 93, he expired on the 26th of Rajab 637-hijri and was buried in the Astana-Sharif of the holy saint.
The present Khadims are the progeny of Hazrat Khwajaa Syed Fakhruddin Gurdezi. Who live as one whole community? Their ancestor, Hazrat Khwajaa Syed Fakhruddin Gurdezi (R.A.), accompanied Khwajaa Gharib Nawaz (R.A.) to Ajmer. They served and ministered to him. The strength and magnetism of the saint were so great that he attracted a large number of devotees who remained dedicated and loyal and rendered religious services to him.
The Khadims flourished in Ajmer Sharif and built their own houses near his Roza Mubarak (Dargah) in order to maintain their traditional devotion to and link with the great Sufi saint. For centuries, the Khadims provided necessary comforts to the pilgrims and escorted them for religious ceremonies such as salutations to the shrine and receiving gifts for the services. This Nazar was retained by the Khadim as his personal property for the maintenance of his family and himself.
The head of the Khadim community had been the disciple of Hazrat Khwaja, Syed Osman Harooni Chishty.

Hazrat Khawaja Syed Fakhruddin Gurdezi, born at Gurdezi, remained the chief attendant during the life of
Khawaja Sahib, R.A. The Khadims and Syed Zadgan community had the honour to control, serve, and maintain the shrine inside the Astana Sharif of the holy Sufi Saint of Hazrat Khwaja Ghareeb Nawaz. The fact is known from the privileges, customs, and tradition that prevail in the Rowan sharif. Apart from this, all the Chishty Generotions (performances) are based on traditions commemorated and introduced through the Khwajaa's Baba’s community (Khadims) on the whole, and the Head of Syed Zadgan enjoyed his lifelong service under Khwaja Garib-E-Nawaz. All the Syed Zadgan are the successors and survivors of Hazrat Khwajaa Syed Fakhruddin Gardezi Chishty R. A. (Amin).
The Astana Sharif of Kwaja Garib Nawaz (Burial Place) always remained under the custody and care of Hazrat Khuwaja Syed Fakhruddin Gurdezi, who was a Khadim of Khuwaja Garib Nawaz. from the very beginning, which proves that they are the custodians of the shrine in the true sense of the word. All the religious ceremonies performed by them at the shrine.
HAZRAT KHWAJA SYED FAKRUDDIN GURDEZ, THE CHIEF OF THE COMMUNITY, PLAYED A ROLE DURINIG THE ABSENCE OF KHUWAJA GARIB NAWAZ FROM AJMER & AFTER HE DEMINISE.
The Mazar of Hazrat Fakhruddin Gurdezi (R.A.) and his wife are located inside the Tosha Khana, adjacent to Begami Dalaan. Its door opens inside the Roza Mubarak. He was a close relative of Peer Bhai and Mureed of Hazrat Khuwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A.).
The members of his generation are called Khadim Syed Zadgan, who have a right to perform rituals and to extend services inside the Gumbad Sharif. All the belongings of Gumbad Sharif and the holy Mazar are under their custody.
They perform rituals like laying flowers, presenting the Sandal Sharif, helping the pilgrims offer Salaams, removing and replacing covers and clockwreaths, etc. The Urs of Khuwaja Syed Fakhruddin Gurdezi (R.A.) is celebrated on the 25th and 26th of Rajab.
